Dublin teammates Bernard Brogan and Michael Darragh MacAuley will be in opposition.

2016 ALL-IRELAND club champions Ballyboden St-Enda’s will take on 2014 county finalists St Oliver Plunkett’s-Eoghan Ruadh in the pick of the first round ties in this year’s Dublin senior football championship.

The game will pit Dublin team-mates Michael Darragh MacAuley and Bernard Brogan in opposition, with Ballyboden also able to call upon Dublin seniors Colm Basquel and Robbie McDaid, while Alan Brogan and Paul Galvin are part of the Plunkett’s squad.

Reigning Dublin champions St Vincent’s will start off against Round Towers Clondalkin.

Other leading contenders Kilmacud Crokes and Ballymun Kickhams meet Erins Isle and St Pat’s Palmerstown respectively.

In the Dublin senior hurling championship draw, All-Ireland club finalists Cuala are notably drawn in Group 1 with Ballyboden St-Enda’s.

Cuala – who have won the last two county senior titles – take on Clare’s Ballyea in Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day, and after that will be pitted against Ballyboden, who have won six of the last ten championships. Crumlin and Faughs complete that group.

Last year’s beaten finalists Kilmacud Crokes, who lifted crowns recently in 2012 and 2014, are in Group 3.
