All charges against WWE Superstar Rich Swann have officially been dropped according to numerous sources, as prosecutors have cited insufficient evidence to continue forward with a conviction.

As reported in early December the 205 Live star was arrested on charges of battery and false imprisonment, after an argument with a woman later determined to be his wife, Vanarrah Riggs. According to the police report Riggs, who wrestles under the name Su Yung and who recently made her debut with Impact Wrestling, tried to leave their vehicle for fear that their argument would escalate, but was dragged back inside.

The incident was witnessed by multiple individuals, but with Riggs herself not pressing charges the case was left to Florida courts to determine whether or not to proceed.

Of course Swann was immediately suspended by WWE as soon as the news broke that his arrest had anything to do with domestic violence, as the company has a strict zero tolerance policy on the matter. Both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H had noted in the past few weeks that they were just waiting for the issue to resolve itself in court before making any decisions, so it’s possible¬†he could be brought back to television as early as this weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
