Although the chances of it actually taking place seem to be slim and none, odds makers have released opening betting lines for a potential Brock Lesnar vs. Jon Jones fight in the UFC.
Popular online sports betting website Bovada released opening lines on the rumored fight, which has many hurdles with USADA and contractual issues to clear before it’s even a possibility. According to the online sports book, “Bones” Jones is a clear-cut favorite to defeat “The Beast Incarnate.”
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones opened as a -350 (three and a half-to-one) betting favorite over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, who starts off as a +260 (over two-and-a-half to one) underdog.
What this means is that a $100 bet on Lesnar, if he were to win if the fight takes place, would clear you $260 profit. On the flip side of the coin, it would take a $350 bet on Jones, with a win over Lesnar, to clear you $100 profit.
As noted, Lesnar is rumored to be attending UFC 226 during UFC’s International Fight Week in Las Vegas, Nevada in July. There have been multiple reports following a meeting Lesnar took with UFC President Dana White that he will be returning to the Octagon for another high-profile UFC fight.
