During Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, music legend Celine Dion presented the award for one of the night’s most anticipated categories: Song of the Year, which went to Adele (though if it were up to the “Hello” singer, Beyoncé would have been crowned the night’s big winner).

And on the red carpet prior to the ceremony, the singer opened up about everything from her fashion to her twin children and the unexpected lessons she learned following the death of her husband, René Angélil, in 2016.
In a sparkling green Zuhair Murad gown that gave off serious mermaid vibes, Dion gushed about her corresponding heels. “These are my Gucci shoes, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci,” she told InStyle. She paired the ensemble with accessories that included “my own jewelry and a little touch of Davani—a little touch of love,” she said.

Mom-of-three Dion also shared her take on the bombing trend of twins in Hollywood. As a mother to twin 6-year-old boys, Nelson and Eddy, Dion explained, “We’re blooming. We’re growing,” and joked, “What’s going on?”
Dion then moved on to more serious topics of parenthood by discussing how she has evolved and what she has learned since Angélil’s passing. “I have to say it’s probably not a lesson, but it’s something that I have no choice to take charge of, that I’m proud of: it’s to prepare my children for their dad’s passing. And that was a lesson for me—that you never know when things like this strikes and you need to take charge,” she told reporters. “It was a lesson for me, but they’re doing great.”
“In life, you never know what’s going to happen, so you should never wait for tomorrow to do what can be done today, to say, I love you, or send a thank-you note, or to call your Mom or Dad, or get something out of your chest, or your best friend, or tomorrow,” she continued. ‘The future is now.”
