There’s another Manning that’s already getting ready to take his place in the family dynasty.
A video of Eli and Peyton Manning’s nephew, Arch Manning, posted on Twitter shows the 13-year-old slinging long passes with accuracy.
The middle schooler, named for his grandfather, is the son of Cooper Manning. Cooper’s own career as a wide receiver was cut short with a spinal stenosis diagnosis just before his freshman year at Ole Miss.
The video — originally posted by QB Country, a New Orleans-based quarterback camp — shows Arch taking snaps from his younger brother, Heid Manning.
Arch plays football at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, the same one Eli, Peyton and Cooper all played at in the 1990s.
“Nowadays with social media, and what’s out there, obviously the interest has started,” Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart told WVUE. “As we say, he’s still an eighth-grader. Obviously, we’re excited to have him. I think as hard as he’s working, and the things I’ve seen, he’ll be here in a hurry, we’re a year away.”
He has already led the school to a middle school title, the network reported, throwing three touchdowns in the championship game last season.
The young Manning has a lot to live up to if he makes it to the NFL. In all, the three NFL quarterbacks in the family have four Super Bowl championships, three Super Bowl MVPs and 20 Pro Bowl appearances.
