Trey Wingo was just as upset as anyone about Sunday night’s Super Bowl. But not at the low-scoring affair or the 14 punts.
The ESPN Radio talk show host was furious at the fan reaction to it, and he went off Monday morning.
“Shut up — just shut up,” Wingo fumed after a bore of a game that was the lowest-rated in a decade. “If you don’t want to watch, then don’t watch. Go watch the Raptors and the Knicks. Go do something else. But don’t sit there for four flippin’ hours with your eyes glued to the game and say, ‘Oh, this is so boring, but I can’t stop watching.’ Just shut the hell up.”
At least somebody was entertained by the Patriots’ ugly 13-3 victory over the Rams. Tom Brady won his sixth ring in a game whose only touchdown was scored halfway through the fourth quarter.
