Further proving social media’s widespread influence, even 90-year-old Queen Elizabeth is busy tweeting. On Tuesday morning, the royal majesty herself typed up a message on Twitter to thank the public for their “digital wishes” following her birthday milestone. Talk about a tech-savvy royal.
In composing her tweet, Queen Elizabeth sat down to an ornate desk where her tablet was placed.
Using a single finger, the queen—dressed in a pink floral dress and black pumps—carefully typed up a heartfelt tweet to all who sent her birthday wishes. “I am most grateful for the many digital messages of goodwill I have received and would like to thank you all for your kindness,” she wrote in the note:
