Ring Of Honor (ROH) World Champion Jay Lethal was recently interviewed by the folks from The Tampa Bay Times to promote his title defense at the upcoming G1 Supercard Special Co-Promoted Event by ROH & New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) during WrestleMania 35 Weekend.
Lethal was asked about having the opportunity to work a high-profile match on a major event at the world-famous Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City, New York.
“Every wrestler from my generation thought that the only way to work in Madison Square Garden was to work for the WWE or fill out an application to work security,” said Lethal. “I get to go there without doing either of those two things.”
He was also asked about his career in general, claiming that he feels like he won the lottery because everything seems to keep going right for him, as seen below:
“I couldn’t write my story any better,” said Lethal. “We are wrestling a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden and I am champion. A few years ago, I would have said this is impossible. But it is a reality.”
