The Josh Rosen sweepstakes appear to be gaining traction, at least outside of Arizona.
A number of NFL teams inquired about last year’s 10th-overall pick, two NFL insiders who conversed with the Cardinals told ESPN.com, though the team has not confirmed if it’s planning to move forward without Rosen yet.
Rosen’s future in Arizona has been in question since the team was first linked to Kyler Murray. GM Steve Keim added more fuel to the fire when he commented on the quarterback’s status at last week’s scouting combine, noting Rosen is their guy “right now.” The Cardinals hold the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft.
As for Rosen, his love for the Cardinals appears to be alive and well on social media following a curious absence. The latest entry, posted Jan. 23, honored receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who signed a one-year deal to return to the only team he’s played for.
“The LEGEND is back for another!!!!!” Rosen exclaimed.
Though it remains to be seen if Rosen will be tossing Fitzgerald the ball this season, it appears some companies are already taking note of a potential shakeup in the Southwest. Rosen’s jerseys have already been marked down at an Arizona Nike store from $100 to $40, according to Fox Sports Phoenix.
