Russian President Vladimir Putin has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Expressing grief over loss of lives in the deadly Kerala floods that claimed over 400 lives. Army, Air Force, Navy, NDRF managed to rescue at least 43,000 people, but almost one million people have been displaced.
“Kindly accept the deepest condolences over numerous human casualties caused by the devastating floods in Kerala,” Putin said.

“Russia shares grief with the friendly people of India and hopes for a speedy recovery to all those injured from this natural disaster,” the Russian president said in his letter.
