According to Dave Meltzer in a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Sources have confirmed that during The Undertaker vs. HHH Match at The Super Show Down Event next month, an angle will go down to set up the tag team match that will see The Undertaker and Kane team up to take on HHH and Shawn Michaels, who would be coming out of retirement, at Crown Jewel on November 2nd.
For years, Michaels had refused to end his retirement in the past and actually turned down a lucrative offer for The Greatest Royal Rumble Event this past April but seemingly has agreed now because of the massive pay day he has been offered. Due to the amount of money that WWE is getting for The Saudi Arabia deal, the company can pretty much open their wallets and pay talent an unheard amount of money – perhaps into the seven figures – in order to secure them for the show, which is exactly what has happened with Shawn Michaels.
The speculation remains that the tag team match is a precursor for Michaels to return in a one-on-one match likely at WrestleMania to take on The Undertaker.
