It was officially confirmed by WWE yesterday that current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has signed a new deal with the company which will see him continue to wrestle for WWE for an unspecified amount of time. The news comes after weeks of rumors suggesting that Lesnar would be leaving WWE after WrestleMania before joining UFC. It was incredibly surprising to see Lesnar retain his title during his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but now that “The Beast Incarnate” has re-signed with WWE, Lesnar will be putting his title on the line against Reigns once more in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on April 27th.
While Lesnar is now confirmed to stay with WWE, the company did not make any announcements concerning Paul Heyman’s status. Most wrestling fans can’t imagine Brock Lesnar without being flanked to the ring by Heyman these days, so the lack of an announcement regarding Heyman did seem a bit worrying at first. Fortunately, it has just been reported by PWInsider that WWE and Paul Heyman have indeed come to terms on a brand new deal. Part of Lesnar’s new deal with WWE reportedly requests that Heyman continues to accompany him to the ring, and it looks like he will continue to do so for however long Brock Lesnar’s new WWE contract runs for.
As promised, Braun Strowman did select a tag team partner during his match against Sheamus and Cesaro at WrestleMania, but it turned out to be no one that anyone expected. Strowman selected a young boy named Nicholas from the crowd to team up with him during the match, and Strowman defeated The Bar, thus securing the unlikely team of Braun and Nicholas the Raw Tag Team Championships. While the idea of Nicholas and Strowman teaming up together sparked a lot of debate, the team has already come to an end. Strowman and Nicholas vacated the titles on Raw last night due to Nicholas’ scheduling conflicts with school. A tag team tournament will determine The Bar’s Greatest Royal Rumble opponents, and the winner of that match will earn the Raw Tag Team Championships.

Per @RealKurtAngle, FOUR TEAMS are getting an opportunity in a #TagTeamEliminator! The winners will face @WWECesaro & @WWESheamus for the relinquished #RAW #TagTeamTitles at #WWEGRR in Saudi Arabia! #RAWAfterMania
