Rob Gronkowski isn’t hoping for a repeat of last year on multiple fronts.
After the Eagles defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl LII in 2018, it was revealed the tight end’s home had been burglarized while he was away. Gronkowski’s brother, Chris, told TMZ Sports that won’t be happening again.
“He has the whole system, he has everything going, and it came down to roommates that lived with him at the time didn’t set the alarm,” Chris explained. “It’s just crazy that that happened.”
Upon returning home from Minnesota in February, Gronkowski placed a phone call to 911 to inform the authorities.
“This isn’t an emergency. … This is just uh, Rob Gronkowski calling,” he told the operator. “While I was gone, my whole house got robbed while on the Super Bowl trip and I just got back.”
Three individuals were arrested last year in connection to the case. Cops noted the burglars had taken an Apple Watch, a Rolex, two rare coins and multiple firearms, TMZ reported in May.
“I know for sure this time that alarm will be on,” Chris said. “If anyone’s trying, they’re definitely going to get caught.”
