Saquon Barkley wouldn’t mind seeing Kyler Murray, the two-sport phenom and Heisman Trophy winner, who declared for the NFL draft Monday, in blue.
“I got to personally play with him in The Opening in high school — I played 7-on-7 with him. So, I know what he’s about and I know how talented he is,” the Giants’ running back told TMZ Sports.
About whether Murray, who has yet to decide if he will play football or baseball at the professional level, should replace Eli Manning, Barkley said, “That’s above my pay grade.” But he does think Murray is every bit as good as the other quarterbacks, like Dwayne Haskins and Drew Lock, in the draft.
“I think there’s a lot of talented quarterbacks in the class and all those guys have a great future,” he said.
