Saquon Barkley took time to give something back to the fans – $100 bills.
The Giants rookie running back was captured on video by TMZ Sports handing out $100 bills to a small group of people waiting outside the Red Rabbit nightclub in the Meatpacking District on Friday night.
Barkley, who is coming off a sensation first season with the Giants, signed a four-year, $31.2 million contract after being selected No. 2 overall in the last year’s draft.
He was one of the lone bright spots of a dismal 5-11 season for the Giants. Barkley, who made the Pro Bowl, is the just the third rookie running back in NFL history to account for 2,000 yards from scrimmage in a season, joining Eric Dickerson (1983) and Edgerrin James (1999). He carried the ball 261 times – without a fumble – for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 91 passes for 721 yards and four scores.
Barkley had been praised for also handling himself well off the field and with the media and that didn’t change Friday night with his post-holidays giveaway to some lucky clubgoers.
