The world’s very first look at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby is now here. The couple just did a photocall with their new baby at Windsor Castle, two days after his birth. Meghan wore a Grace Wales Bonner dress alongside Prince Harry, who was in a grey suit for the occasion.

They announced their boy’s birth on Instagram, writing, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”

Meghan forged her own path when she decided to not have her and her baby’s first photos taken on the steps outside of the Lindo Wing. She and Harry announced ahead of Meghan’s labor that the couple would keep their baby’s birth private and not share the hospital Meghan would be delivering in.

Lindo Wing was where Princess Diana and Kate Middleton both introduced the press and public to all of their children. Kate was there most recently with Prince Louis last year, following his birth on April 23.

At this point, Meghan and Harry have not announced the name of their baby yet. But this isn’t unusual for the royal family. Kate Middleton and Prince William waited two days before announcing Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s names. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge waited four days to share Prince Louis’s name.

The question still remains on whether the Queen will give Meghan and Harry’s baby a title or not. Right now, only William’s kids are given princess/prince titles automatically at birth, as he is the direct heir to the throne behind their father. Harry is behind all of William’s children. The Queen has not issued a letters patent to give Harry and Meghan’s children HRH prince/princess titles yet though, making it likely that Meghan and Harry’s kids would at most be ladies or earls. As it is, Harry and Meghan’s son will inherit Harry’s Earl of Dumbarton title.
