Augsburg University will play host this weekend to the largest Minnesota Girls High School State Championship since the event began six years ago. “The event continues to grow and this year we are up approximately 45% over last year. We’re excited for these girls to have the opportunity to compete for a high school state wrestling title,” said Chad Shilson, Girls Director and Coach for MN USA Wrestling.
Most, if not all of your top Minnesota female high school wrestlers will be vying for one of nine state titles on Saturday in the following weight classes – 102, 110, 119, 128, 138, 148, 165, 185 and 215.
Emily Shilson, senior at Mounds View High School (110 or 119 lbs) the 2018 Cadet World Champion and Youth Olympic Games Champ might be the most recognizable name in the field but there are some other studs as well.

Both Tuttle sisters spent the entire high school season holding down varsity spots for the Polars.
Other Cadet and Junior All-American wrestlers in the hunt for a title will be Kya Rybachek, Junior from Hibbing High School and Deanna Francisco, a sophomore from Deer River.
