Sophie Turner is just starting her press tour for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and for a Paris appointment, she selected a short bustier black dress by Mugler. The piece is a statement-look take on the traditional little black dress, and pairs specularly with the Carolina Bucci hoop earrings and Alexandre Birman heels chosen by Turner and her stylist Kate Young. Add an Eiffel Tower backdrop, and you have one spectacular press tour photo:
Dark Phoenix isn’t the only project Turner is promoting right now. Obviously she’s Game of Thrones‘ Sansa Stark, and she just attended two big red carpets for the premiere of the HBO series’ final season. She went light in Belfast, wearing a white Louis Vuitton dress with open sleeves and silver embellishment on the red carpet.
Later, she changed into a Dickies top and red patent pants while her co-stars were still in their formal wear:
In New York City, she wore another statement LBD. This black mini dress, also Louis Vuitton, was embellished with silver, too:
Fashion aside, Turner last made headlines this week for her reaction to on-screen GoT sister (and off-screen best friend) Maisie Williams’ first sex scene on the show. Entertainment Weekly spoke with Turner in an interview immediately after the episode that depicted Arya Stark (Williams) and Gendry’s sex scene. Turner revealed that she had alerted Williams of the scene’s existence when they first received the scripts.
“I called Maisie and was like: ‘Have you read it yet?’” Turner said. “I’m like: This scene, this page, read it! This is awesome!”
Then she posted a relatively NSFW joke about the entire thing on her Instagram Story when the episode aired. “In honor of Easter, I guess Game of Thrones wanted the story line to have a little Easter bunny hop-hop-hoppin’ into that pussayyyyy…and that’s the tea,” she quipped. Indeed!
