When betting props, look at ones that fit the narrative of how you believe the game will unfold. Think it’s going to be a shootout? Look to the Overs on team and individual player props. Think the defenses step up? Look to the Unders.
If you believe, as I do, that Super Bowl LIII will be close (does anyone believe it’ll be a blowout?), then the prop I like best is “Will the score be tied after 0-0?” I love the “Yes,” as I feel there’s a good chance the Patriots and Rams will get back to even.
And the beauty is that we cash if it lands at even at any time. Last year, the Eagles kicked a field goal on the opening drive. The Patriots answered with a field goal to make it 3-3 and — Boom! — we had a winner in the first 11 minutes. Two years ago, the Falcons famously led the Patriots 28-3, but the “Yes” still cashed when the Pats rallied to force overtime at 28-28.
The play: Yes (-110 at William Hill) on “Will the Game be Tied after 0-0?”
