Tom Brady can’t take a compliment.
During a recent appearance on “Good Morning America,” the six-time Super Bowl champ told host and former Brady adversary Michael Strahan that a certain four-letter word makes his skin crawl.
“I don’t even like it. It makes me cringe,” Brady said of being referred to as the “GOAT,” or greatest of all time.
“I guess I take compliments worse than I … I wish you would say, ‘You’re trash, you’re too old, you’re too slow, you can’t get it done no more,’ And I’ll say, ‘Thank you very much, I’ll prove you wrong,’” he continued.
Brady and the Patriots referenced the underdog theme ad nauseam throughout their postseason run, which ended with a 13-3 win over the Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
As for when the Jets and the rest of the AFC can breathe a sigh of relief from Brady’s epic reign, the 41-year-old quarterback hinted when he may hang up his pads for good.
“50’s too long, I think 45 is the goal,” he said.
