Match is set for 7 p.m. in the Elmen Center

SIOUX FALLS – Fresh off a dominating win over Dakota Wesleyan in its home-opener last week, the Augustana wrestling team returns to Northern Sun Conference action on Thursday, when the Vikings host MSU Moorhead at 7 p.m., in the Elmen Center.

The Vikings hope to build on their 54-0 win over the Tigers last Wednesday when they won all five matches, and then added five more forfeit victories to even their dual record at 1-1.

The match opened with a 14-11 decision win for Tyler Wagener at 157 lbs. and then at 165 lbs., Jackson Sweeney followed with a 14-3 major decision to stake the Vikings to a 9-0 lead.

It only got better from there, as the Vikings got a pin from Lukas Poloncic at 174 lbs., a technical fall from Daniel Bishop at 184 lbs., before Brayden Curry wrapped up the night with a pin at 133 lbs.

The Dragons come to Sioux Falls with a 2-5 overall dual record, with both of those wins coming in NSIC action, and with one loss in conference, which came in a 24-10 defeat at No. 24 U-Mary last Friday in Bismarck.
