For those following the WhatCulture Pro Wrestling World Cup Tournament ’17 tournament you have been treated to a number of qualifying tournaments representing countries all over the world, but it seems one of the names scheduled to appear will not be able to make it to the Round of 16
Recently in an advertisement for the show, the current tournament bracket was shown, but mysteriously one of the names was missing, although it was not mentioned in the advertisement. That name was one of the Canadian qualifiers “Big Mike” Michael Elgin, who was scheduled to face Scotland’s Joe Coffey in the first round. However, in subsequent ads for the same show, Elgin’s name once again appeared in the bracket as normal. I reached out to WCPW on Twitter and asked about Elgin’s participation and got a simple answer.

Although it has not been officially announced and never explicitly announced, Elgin will not appear on the show and will not be in the tournament. WCPW hasn’t announced any extra match to find a replacement so who knows what the company plans to do to fill the vacancy.
The round of 16 show takes place on August 23rd in Milton Keynes, England. you can visit their website at WC.PW
